John R. Rowell, Jr. ’63, M.D. established the Dr. John Russell Rowell, Jr. and Mrs. Lynn Foushee Rowell Maryland Promise Scholarship in March 2023 under the auspices of the Clark Challenge for the Maryland Promise Program. This fund was established in memory of Mrs. Lynn Foushee Rowell. It provides need-based scholarships for undergraduate students who are residents of Maryland or the District of Columbia, with preference for students in the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences.
