Judy Kugel, Jeremy Kugel, Katrina Kugel and Seth Kugel established the Peter Kugel Maryland Promise Scholarship in November 2024 under the auspices of the Clark Challenge for the Maryland Promise Program. This fund is named in memory of Peter Kugel by his family and provides need-based scholarships for undergraduate students who are residents of Maryland or the District of Columbia, with preference for students in the Department of Computer Science in the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences.
