Senator John A. Cade was one of Maryland’s most extraordinary public servants. As a member of the Maryland Senate from 1975-1996, his dedication to government, public service, and education helped enhance the lives of his constituents. He is remembered as a bi-partisan negotiator, who sought to live up to the best traditions of service to the people. This scholarship was created in his honor to support students who wish to follow in his footsteps by pursuing a career in public service and leadership.
