Sharon Wiebking ’69, M.Ed. ’73, and Guy Wiebking ’69, MBA ’73 established the Sharon and Guy Wiebking Design Thinking Fund in May 2015 for the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences (CMNS). This generous fund supports the Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and contributes to the compensation of the Academy’s innovation and entrepreneurship professional instructors, working either within the Academy or other departments. The Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship engages University of Maryland students and faculty in innovation tools and mindsets, such as design thinking and lean startup, empowering them to become creative problem solvers.
